About Aimée Dale-Lucius
Aimée is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in the state of Colorado, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA) in the state of New Mexico. Aimée received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Psychology from Capella University and went on to attain her Masters in Counseling at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, NM.
Aimée began her career at Serna Solutions in Santa Fe, where she became a specialist in the CRAFT model. She worked with individuals, couples, families and groups around the country who have loved ones struggling with substance abuse and conducted trainings in the CRAFT model to other behavioral health providers around New Mexico. Aimée went on to complete an internship at Solace Crisis Treatment Center in Santa Fe, where she honed her skills, working with Complex Trauma and PTSD in adults and children who were victims of domestic violence and sexual abuse.
Aimée returned to the Roaring Fork Valley in January 2020, after several years in New Mexico, and served as a school-based clinician in Aspen Middle School through Mind Springs Health before opening her private practice in Basalt. Aimée also serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at WindWalkers Equine Assisted Learning and Therapy Center.
Aimée holds a certificate in Children’s Mental Health from The New Earth Institute, she is a certified Level 2 PACT Couples Therapist, an EAGALA certified Equine Mental Health Specialist and Equine Specialist, certification eligible in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and has advanced training in Community Reinforcement Approach/Family Training (CRA/CRAFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Sandplay Therapy.
Aimée specializes in working with couples, families, adults, adolescents and children who have experienced trauma, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, mood and personality disorders. As a mother of 4…Aimee deeply understands the many challenges that accompany the gift of parenthood, and really enjoys working with parents and families to create more stable, loving, healthy relationships.
